Good News: Our friends - we visited yesterday - and their house are OK.
For my guest family I installed today skype (http://www.skype.com).
Our phone bill will thank us, when we are back in Switzerland :-)
They have also a pocket pc verson of skype. You will find me as "parsemall" on skype.

This day started so nice. We went to lower mangrove. We visited some friends. It was about 44° Celsius. Because of the heat we went on a boat trip at mangrove creek. On the way back we saw a litte fire. So we rushed back and called the police (in Australia you can call 000). As we arrived, the litte fire ignite to a bushfire.
The fire brigade tryed to keep the fire under control. Unfortunately the fire went out of control and set the bush on fire. The fire came close to the house of our friends. Fortunately nobody was hurt.
At the way back to Sydney we saw the whole Ku-ring-gai National Park (www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/parks.nsf/ParkContent/N0019) was burning.

Ferry from Parramatta to Sydney

Today we made our trip to Sydney with a Ferry from Parramatta. On the river the ride is not so pleasant, because there is´t much to see. The last 10 minutes are worth to ride. On the right side comes the Rocks and the boat travells under the Harbor Bridge. On the left side is Kirribilli. The ferry stops on the Circular Quay.
